Order, Family and Description

Looking more like a leaf, this tropical silk moth held on with its front two feet and swayed in the breeze along with the surrounding foliage. This camouflage is strengthened by the venation like wing patternation and leaflike shape. As if all of this charade was not enough protection against detection, as a last resort, this moth would flash two impressively colorful and large eyespots concealed beneath the forewings.
